01 · Recurring resort operations

Colorado mountain resort programs

Building, staffing and operating astronomy experiences for mountain resorts, including a recurring program at Winter Park Resort.

Project need: A resort program has to fit guest schedules, property access and hospitality expectations while remaining workable through changing weather, seasonal targets and mountain operating conditions.
What we did: At Winter Park Resort, we developed, staffed and fully operated the recurring public astronomy program, including the equipment, setup, guest flow, interpretation, capacity decisions and weather workflow. We continue to support the resort with private astronomy programs, while applying the same operating experience across other Colorado mountain destinations.
Outcome: The work created a field-tested resort astronomy model built around real guest operations, with continued astronomy support available as Winter Park's needs evolve.

02 · Program development & staff training

YMCA Camp Santa Maria

Helping a camp turn astronomy resources into a program its own staff could deliver.

Project need: The camp needed an astronomy experience that could fit its schedule, staff and educational environment and continue without depending on a visiting presenter.
What we did: We consulted on the program, translated astronomy into a practical camp format and trained staff through hands-on equipment use and delivery guidance.
Outcome: The engagement focused on giving the camp a practical format, trained staff and a clearer path to internal delivery.

03 · Program and business revitalization

Astro Tours Broome

Relaunching a long-established astronomy business after two dormant years.

Project need: The task was to return an established local astronomy experience to operation while respecting the identity and history that made the original program distinctive.
What we did: The redevelopment work spans program structure, equipment readiness, operating systems, staffing and the practical work of re-entering the market after a long pause.
Outcome: The relaunch combines the parts worth preserving with updated equipment, systems and operating practices needed for the program's next chapter.
