Background

More than twelve years of astronomy with real guests.

Luke Huxley holds a BS in Physics from the University of Colorado with minors in Astrophysics and Geophysics. His astronomy outreach and tourism work spans more than twelve years across Colorado and Western Australia.

He founded AstroTours.org in 2018 and has worked across public tours, resort programs, private groups, camps, municipal partnerships, staff training and large events. In 2026 he returned to Western Australia to help revitalize Astro Tours Broome after two dormant years.

That operating background shapes the work at Stargazing Solutions: how guests move through a program, which equipment is practical, how staff learn, how weather decisions are made and what it takes to keep an experience consistent over time.

How we build programs

Five principles we bring to every destination.

01

Start with the place

The site, guests, season and operating environment should shape the program before equipment or infrastructure decisions are made.

02

Design the whole guest journey

Arrival, comfort, pacing, interpretation and care matter as much as what appears in the eyepiece.

03

Plan for changing conditions

Moonlight, cloud, smoke, seasonal targets and changing weather need clear policies and straightforward guest communication.

04

Prepare the local team to own it

Training, documentation and practical routines should make the program easier for local staff to operate with confidence.

05

Protect the night and respect the place

Dark skies, landscapes and cultural knowledge deserve thoughtful stewardship, attribution, consent and local participation.
